diNo – Artist & Founder
I/diNo Founded the Save eARTh 501c3 in April of 2018 after over a decade of contemplating the best way to approach this goal.
I have always enjoyed the infinite benefits of a Creative life and the indescribable sense of purpose and discovery that comes with each work.
My Mother was a Teacher and Father was an Engineer. I became a combo of both via the Arts and Creative explorations I’ve pursued.
My first experiences of boundless Creativity came at a very a young age in my Dad’s workshop, where I would build and invent all kinds of things with wood.
In Elementary school a friend of mine and I began an obsession with Artists and tracing really intricate and tiny detailed Artworks from our Nintendo Power magazines and more.
In 5th grade we were asked to write a 5 page story… Mine was 25 pages. I then got hooked on reading and writing stories. In 7th grade I hand wrote a 350 page epic adventure called Dream to the Unknown. In 8th grade I typed a 400 page apocalyptic epic which had a few possible titles. In 9th grade I was 250 pages into the best and most imaginative story I’ve ever fathomed… when my computer crashed, and I lost all of the 3rd book. I was devastated.
So I Picked up a Guitar. Which I always wanted to do. I had piano lessons when I was younger and used to mess around, but always wanted a Guitar. I formed a band with my neighbors almost immediately. We soon became “Hollow eARTh”… which opened my eyes onto possible theories about the structure of the Universe.. a key part of my Creative Mind…
After Hollow eARTh came IREPRESS in 1998, which took me All over the World touring America, Europe and playing hundreds of shows for thousands of people. Some of the most amazing times of my life. We also recorded several albums worth of songs and released them on the Translation Loss Records label. Samus Octology and Sol Eye Sea I were our main albums..
While I continue to do a lot musically, Visual Art has taken over as my main focus of Creative expression. While creating harmony with others has it’s share of Miracles and Magic that cannot be easily explained with words, still nothing compares to getting in the zone on some Visual Art. It has been a daily blessing of mine now every single day for over 20 years, and I look forward to it every single day. Art has given me a level of happiness that I want others to feel as well. It leads one on a divine quest for Truth that is remarkable every instant of the journey.
Save eARTh aims to encourage others to discover their inner artist and utilize some of the benefits, to benefit the eARTh as a whole, and it’s many needs. They go hand in hand, and I had a share of donations and successful occurrences where Art and Charity seemed to form such a unique harmony together, that it could not be ignored. The term “Save eARTh” continued to stand out as the most straight forward Mission statement and all encompassing goal imaginable. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t already taken by someone else…
Now it is owned and run by ALL of US! It will continue to grow and develop more and more goals, solutions and connections with other like-minded organizations and creatives. There are so many ways to accomplish this goal, and everyone can play an essential role. Each little additional PEACE to the puzzle adds up to a Renaissance that revives the Health of Our World, on ALL levels… via the vessel and miracles of Art!
